This Notice of Personal Data Processing (hereinafter: “the Notice”) is intended for people applying or considering to apply for a job posting or a student job or sending a speculative application to PLIVA CROATIA Ltd, Prilaz baruna Filipovića 25, 10000 Zagreb, Tax Number (OIB – issued by the Croatian Tax Administration) 44205501677 (hereinafter: “PLIVA”) or for any of its affiliated companies via pliva.com website.
PLIVA protects your privacy and, as a controller, processes your personal data in accordance with applicable regulations.
What is the legal basis of the processing of your personal data?
PLIVA collects and processes your personal data for the purpose of evaluating your qualifications, knowledge and skills, determining whether you comply with the requirements defined as a prerequisite for certain jobs, and subsequently contacting and notifying you of the completion of the selection process.
Provision of personal data represents a requirement for your application to be considered.
Fields marked with asterisk (*) are required as they contain your identification data, your contact data and data on your education, knowledge and work experience. The data you enter into the optional fields and all other data you state in your application or CV, which are not relevant to the selection, are considered the data that you provide to PLIVA at your own initiative.
How does PLIVA collect your personal data?
During the recruitment procedure, PLIVA collects personal data in a number of different ways. The majority of the data is voluntarily stated in the application form and CV. However, upon posting job openings, PLIVA may invite you to a job interview and/or ask you to fill out certain questionnaires.
PLIVA may also check the documents and information you have submitted, which may result in the collection of your personal data from third parties such as issuers of certificates and diplomas and former employers, i.e. your references.
What is PLIVA’s retention period for your personal data?
PLIVA processes your personal data throughout the process of selecting candidates who have applied for the same job posting as you have or throughout the process of selecting students for a student job. If your application is not successful, PLIVA will retain your identity data and your CV for a period of 5 (five) years to be able to contact you in case another opportunity for a job offer or student job arises.
Your personal data will be erased at the end of the period stated as the retention period for your personal data or earlier in case you withdraw your consent.
If we select you in the selection procedure and you become Pliva’s employee, we will retain your personal data which you have provided in the selection procedure in our databases for the duration of your employment.
With whom does PLIVA share your personal data?
As a company within the international Teva Group, PLIVA may transfer your personal data, especially if you have applied for a job posting referring to a regional or global position, to affiliated companies, some of which are outside the European Union, including the countries that are not covered by the adequacy decision of the European Commission due to their different regulations on personal data protection. When transferring your data to such countries, PLIVA uses approved standard contract clauses of the European Commission and ensures that each recipient has a suitable privacy shield certification or the binding corporate rules.
Moreover, in the course of processing your personal data, PLIVA may use third parties as processors who are under contractual obligations to ensure an adequate level of personal data protection.
What are your rights in relation to the processing of your personal data?
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have several rights in relation to your personal data. You have the right to obtain access and rectification or erasure of your personal data, the right to restriction of processing, the right to object to processing, as well as in certain circumstances the right to data portability.
If you have given your consent for your personal data to be processed for a specific purpose, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time, but without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing which has been conducted on the basis of the consent prior to its withdrawal.
If you have any suspicions that PLIVA’s processing of your personal data constitutes violation of your personal data protection rights, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the personal data protection agency.
