
Management Board
The operations of PLIVA HRVATSKA are managed by the Management Board, with Tihomir Orešković as its President and Miran Denac and Zoran Bunčić as its members. Each of the Management Board members is responsible for an individual segment of the company’s business operations.
President of the Management Board
Tihomir Orešković is appointed President of PLIVA’s Management Board, effective July 1, 2012, and his responsibilities include PLIVA's operations in Croatia and Southeast Europe.
Mr. Orešković joined PLIVA in 2009 as CFO for Eastern Europe, and was appointed CFO for EMIA (Eastern Europe, Mediterranean, Israel and Africa) in 2010. In this period EMIA achieved respectable business and financial results and an annual growth as high as 15%.
Tihomir Orešković was born in Zagreb in 1966. In 1989 he graduated in chemistry from McMaster University, Canada, where he also finished his MBA studies (areas of concentration: finance and information systems) in 1991. In 1992 he started his professional career in operations of the pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly in Canada where he also held different functions in finance and international positions, including Latin America and Asia. As Director of Government Relations and Economic Affairs he actively participated in drafting of healthcare and pharmaceutical industry policies, and his experience in various segments of the pharmaceutical business includes finance, business development, marketing and sales, and successful leadership of interdisciplinary teams.
He continued his career in Novopharm, Canada, now a member of the Teva Group, as VP Business Development, Specialty Products and CFO. Since he joined the Croatian team in 2009 Mr. Orešković has worked on various financial statements, strategic planning for PLIVA and Teva in the EMIA region, and all major investment projects on local, regional and global levels.
Member of the Management Board and Executive Director of TAPI Croatia
Zoran Bunčić was born in Požega in 1962. He graduated from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology of the University of Zagreb in 1986. As one of PLIVA's scholarship holders, he joined PLIVA a year later as a technologist in the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients and soon advanced to the position of Vitamin C Production Plant Manager. From 1995 to 1998 he led the Project Team for the expansion of Vitamin C production capacities, after which he held the positions of API Development Director and API Technical Operations Director.
In 2001 he became API Division Director and thus responsible for its entire business operations. Since December 2008 he has held the position of the Executive Director of TAPI Croatia within BU TAPI Europe, i.e. Teva's API Division. He became a member of the Management Board of PLIVA HRVATSKA d.o.o. in 2009. He is a member of several professional associations such as the CphI Innovation Committee.

Miran Denac, Ph.D. was born in 1957. He graduated from Chemical Engineering at ETH in Zurich in 1981, where he also obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering in 1986. He completed postdoctoral studies at the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Queensland in Australia.
He joined PLIVA in 2002 in the position of senior director of Global Pharma Operations, and has held the positions of member of the Management Board of PLIVA HRVATSKA and executive director of Product Supply Croatia since 2007. He is responsible for product supply, including complete technical operations, purchasing, production, maintenance, safety at work and environmental protection, validation, facility management and warehousing. Before he joined PLIVA, Mr. Denac gained rich international experience in several renowned companies and university institutions.
